About the Boys & Girls Club of Rutherford County

Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County works to save and change the lives of children and teens, especially those who need us most, by providing a safe, positive, and engaging environment and programs that prepare and inspire them to achieve Great Futures.

Great Futures Start Here

For 30 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County has been in the forefront of youth development.  We are dedicated to ensuring that our community’s youth have greater access to quality programs and services that will enhance their lives and shape their futures.

We offer daily access to a broad range of programs in five core areas (Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness and Recreation) and several specialized initiatives.  All programs are designed to drive positive outcomes for youth and reinforce necessary life skills.

Today, more than 2,600 youth are taking advantage of the programs, activities and services provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County.  Our vision is to provide a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

Who We Serve

We are working to make sure that our Club members attending our Clubs three days or more per week are on track to graduate on time, live healthy, and give back to their community.

Why We Do It

There are children in Middle Tennessee that are fighting an uphill battle.  Tennessee reports elevated rates of high school dropout, teen pregnancy, and obesity compared to national averages.  Each night, one in five children go to bed hungry, and many don’t have the resources or role models they need to change their path.

How We Do It

Our Clubs open their doors to more than 2,600 kids and teens.  We provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment for youth, giving them a sense of belonging.  Members form positive relationships with dedicated, caring staff, who are focused on helping the members make good decisions, and reach their full potential.
